Creatures drawn in fire — sirens, octopuses, crows and other imagined beings, each burned on a live-edge slab whose grain, knots and imperfections guide the image. Every piece is unique and unrepeatable: the same subject can never be burned twice on the same wood.
A face surfaces through coral, kelp and reef life, the boundary between woman and reef left deliberately unresolved. The carved live edge is part of the drawing — the composition follows the wood’s own silhouette.

A siren turns away mid-song, hair and fin drawn in the same continuous, flowing line. The slab’s pale outer edge frames the figure like the curl of a wave.
